My Parents, were Teachers. They did not Like the Idea of their Daughters Being Independent
(like most Middle Class Families, It Really Is'nt Their Fault, because of the way Things Were; the communities and family finances).
But, How Did I Step Out of That Mindset and Make All of This a Possibility?
That is Exactly the the Big Part I don't Want You to Miss.
I Was Married Off. I was Unable to Study Further.
I was Married Off to a Complete Stranger at the Time. Would You Believe me If I told You that I didn't even Know
What He Looked Like! or How old He Even Was?
Until the Wedding Day! Absurd Isnt it! I Only Knew His Name and Where He Was From.
How Was I such a Fool?
We had Our Fair Share of Conflicts Between Us. He is 11 Years Older. Even Though He Never Looks Like It.
I Was In Shock When I got to know this, during My first Conversation with Him.
Coming From a Family, where we Girls, Weren't Even Allowed to Step out of the House, Unless Absolutely Necessary,
I Didn't Know The World Around Me.
We Only Had the National Television Channels.
No Phones, No Internet, No Netflix. So You Could Quite Imagine the Boring Life of Mine.
I lost my Father, When I was Just 16 Years Old. Sad. Depressed.
My thoughts were that "I was an Ugly, Stupid, Useless Girl Who was Incapable of Doing Anything",
So I thought that At-least someone Decided to Marry Me. And I got Married.
Stick With Me. It Gets Interesting.
Right After Marriage. We Had the Opportunity of Moving to Dubai.
He (My Husband) Supported me to Study Further. Move on with my Passion for Interior Designing
while balancing all of the Duties of a Housewife, a Daughter in Law, A Mother and a Sister. You See...
I continued Studying, Learning, With my Academic Knowledge, further adding on. With My Work Experience and Various other things about life.
We Faced Obstacles, Struggles, Financial Issues, Family Problems as Well Having Some of the Greatest Memories, With the Family.
We Continued Supporting Each Other Through Our Journey, Loving and Caring For Each Other. Everyday.
I Still Do Not Understand How, I Had Agreed to Move Out of Dubai Without Him, but the Rest of My Family in 2012. With 3 Kids.
